Covid-19: Our measures for your wellbeing

Wastwater

Latest update

The UK government has announced that UK self-catering holidays will be permitted to take place from 12th April 2021 onwards but will initially be restricted to single household groups (including support bubbles where applicable).

From 17th May 2021 the restriction of a single household only will be amended to allow two households to share a single self-catering unit such as an apartment or cottage.

Restrictions will be further lifted from 21st June 2021 potentially allowing guests from more than two households to holiday together.

Because we have a duty of care to our other guests and contractors we ask you follow government rules concerning the mixing of households and travel restrictions but please be assured, should you be unable to stay due to Covid-19 regulations and can't choose other dates, we will offer a full refund.  You can check these by visiting: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/full-list-of-local-res...

If your holiday was due to commence before 12th April we'd be happy to discuss options available to you.

More Covid-related information

The comfort, enjoyment and confidence of our guests is most important to us. That is why we are continuing to take extra care to ensure a safe experience and peace of mind for all after the outbreak of Coronavirus.

Following government guidelines, we have implemented precautionary measures to protect the safety and welfare of guests, housekeepers, and the local community. We use a self-check-in and check-out system via our key safe so on arrival all you need to do is let yourself in.

Treehouse detailed cleaning information

All our cleaning is always done to the highest possible standard. Our professional housekeepers work in accordance with workplace risk assessment based on the latest government advice.

Our housekeepers, who already ensure the Treehouse is spotless from top to bottom, have implemented additional new Covid-related cleaning measures, they will be wearing PPE whilst cleaning the house and use disposable cleaning cloths.

All hard surfaces are cleaned and disinfected using specialist, recommended products. Used cleaning cloths are double bagged and disposed of safely.

Special attention is paid to surfaces which are most regularly used including high-touch cleaning points such as door handles, bathroom taps, controls, toiletries, TV controls, light switches (or guests are able to use Alexa to operate switches remotely), cupboard and drawer handles, shelves, kitchen items/appliances.

Bed linen, including mattress covers and pillow protectors are washed at 60˚. Cushions/throws are cleaned and replaced regularly.

Hand sanitisers are available in kitchen and bathroom. New toilet rolls are supplied for all guests.

Some outside spaces, e.g. gates with shared access will be disinfected.

The house will be well ventilated during cleaning.

Extenuating circumstances for cancellations due to COVID-19

We fully understand how difficult it is for guests to make decisions about stays at the moment because of the uncertainty of the current situation so we have adapted our cancellation policy to protect you from unforeseen circumstances that may arise due to COVID-19.

If you need to cancel your booking because of changes to lockdown requirements etc, we would be happy to transfer your booking to new dates that are convenient to you. It is possible to request a date change yourself on the website. We do understand however that this may not always be possible in which case we will offer you a full refund. Obviously if it were possible for you to take a transfer rather than cancelling it would help us greatly to keep The Treehouse open for business (as well as helping our cleaners and others involved with maintenance). For any other cancellations not related to Coronavirus our usual terms and conditions apply.

In the, hopefully, unlikely circumstance that you need to cancel or rearrange your booking, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If anyone in your party develops Covid-19 Symptoms

The recommendation from Cumbria Tourism and Tourism Alliance is that if a guest develops any symptoms they should immediately self-isolate to minimise any risk of transmission and request a test locally (if the stay is long enough). They should also inform the accommodation provider (Tel: 07900494429 or 07557968517) of the situation. If they are confirmed to have Covid-19 they should return home by private transport (if they are well enough to drive) as it is not possible to stay in the holiday accommodation.

We hope you have a wonderful and happy stay.
